Job Requirements:

Teacher & Teacher Assistants:

Staff must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass all screenings and background checks required by the State of South Dakota prior to employment.

Aides:

Staff must be at least 14 years old and work under the direct supervision of an adult employee at all times. They must also be able to pass all screenings and background checks required by the State of South Dakota prior to employment.

Appropriate Screenings:

Must be able to pass a State and FBI background check which includes the following:

  • Central Registry screen for SD

    • Central Registry screen from other states lived in for the past 5 years

  • FBI and DCI fingerprint criminal record check

  • Sex Offender Registry for SD and all other states lived in for the past 5 years

  • A signed statement of responsibility to report child abuse/neglect
