Job Requirements

  • Primary Staff- Must be 18 years of age and be able to pass appropriate screenings needed by the state (before employment)

  • Secondary Staff- Must be at least 14 years old and work under the direct supervision of an adult employee.  The must be able to pass appropriate screenings needed by the state (before employment)

Appropriate Screenings

Must be able to pass a background check which includes the following:

  • Central Registry screen for SD

  • Central Registry screen from other states lived in for the past 5 years

  • FBI and DCI fingerprint criminal record check

  • Sex Offender Registry for SD and all other states lived in for the past 5 years

  • 3 Background checks

  • A signed statement of responsibility to report child abuse/neglect
